Nancy Russotto is a European Affairs Advisor in the Brussels office of Steptoe & Johnson LLP, where she is a member of the Regulatory & Industry Affairs Department. Ms. Russotto offers business consulting and advisory services to various clients operating in the European Union.

Ms. Russotto’s extensive career in the European regulatory arena gives her unique insight that directs her consulting services, such as:

• developing strategies for effectively interfacing with European regulators;
• adapting corporate strategy and activities in the European Union to the local culture;
• identifying sectors and/or companies with shared interests and establishing relationships that will maximize the impact of advocacy activities;
• encouraging corporate participation in relevant European sectoral trade associations, which are the key actors in the European regulatory environment; and
• advising on methods for successfully advocating on industry-specific issues.

Prior to joining Steptoe, Ms. Russotto led the Association of Plastics Manufacturers in Europe , which became pan-European under the name PlasticsEurope. As Executive Director, she gained in-depth experience in formulating and representing the views of the plastics industry in the European regulatory environment, and was at the forefront of creating and leading cross-sector industry coalitions.
