Ilinca is a contract attorney in the Brussels office of Steptoe & Johnson LLP. She focuses primarily on European Community law, with a particular emphasis on financial services law. She assists clients with policy advice and strategic representation before the various European institutions.
Before joining Steptoe & Johnson, she was a civil servant with the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs of the Swiss Confederation, working as part of the team negotiating a number of agreements between Switzerland and the European Union. She initially trained with the Legal Affairs Unit of Directorate General Health and Consumer Protection of the European Commission in Brussels.
