Brittany Prelogar is an associate in the Washington office of Steptoe & Johnson LLP, where she is a member of the International Department. Ms. Prelogar provides advice on compliance obligations under the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) and related laws, represents clients in connection with internal and government investigations into potential violations of the FCPA and related laws, and is involved in counseling and representation in a variety of other international investigation, dispute, and compliance issues.
Prior to joining Steptoe, Ms. Prelogar was an associate in an international law firm, where she gained experience representing individuals and companies in connection with internal, SEC, and FINRA investigations, in a broad range of litigation matters in US federal and state courts, in international arbitrations, and in project finance.
Ms. Prelogar’s pro bono experience includes the successful representation of several individuals seeking asylum in the United States.
Her prior experience also includes internships with the Center for Environment and Development in Cameroon and with the Department of Commerce in the US Embassy in Paris, France.
