William J. Barrow is an associate in the Washington office of Steptoe & Johnson LLP, where he is a member of the Intellectual Property group. Mr. Barrow’s practice focuses primarily on patent litigation and patent prosecution.
Mr. Barrow has assisted in the litigation of patent infringement actions before various federal district courts, including the Eastern District of Michigan, the Eastern District of Texas, the Eastern District of Virginia, and the Northern District of Illinois. Mr. Barrow has also assisted in actions arising under Section 337 of the Tariff Act of 1930 before the US International Trade Commission. Mr. Barrow’s litigation experience involves a diverse array of technologies, including semiconductor devices, computer hardware, electromechanical devices, and business methods.
Mr. Barrow has also drafted and prosecuted numerous patent applications relating to various technologies, including wireless network communications, computer software and hardware, electromechanical devices, business methods, and clean energy. Mr. Barrow has also drafted patentability opinions relating to various types of electrical devices and systems.
