Eric J. Lipton is an associate in the Washington office of Steptoe & Johnson LLP, where he is a member of the Litigation Department. Mr. Lipton has assisted in a variety of matters related to professional liability, white-collar defense, and other general civil litigation matters.
Of note, Mr. Lipton assisted in a case involving the enforcement of a substantial credit default swap during the 2008 credit crisis as well as a legal malpractice defense case involving a $100 million claim. Mr. Lipton has experience with complex electronic discovery and motions. Mr. Lipton also participates in Steptoe’s pro bono program, through which he worked on a racial profiling case.
While in law school, Mr. Lipton served as an intern to the Hon. Lawrence M. Baskir of the US Court of Federal Claims.
