Jason Levin is partner in the Los Angeles office of Steptoe & Johnson LLP. His practice focuses on litigation concerning toxic torts and environmental damage, commercial disputes, and products liability. He has served as a pro bono prosecutor for the Los Angeles City Attorney.
Mr. Levin has represented clients at all stages of toxic tort litigation, including expert discovery, dispositive pre-trial motions, and mediation. He has also defended corporations and individuals in cost recovery actions based on CERCLA and nuisance theories.
Mr. Levin has represented both plaintiffs and defendants in a variety of business disputes. He has significant experience in defending companies in class action lawsuits brought under California’s unfair competition law (“Section 17200”) and Consumer Legal Remedies Act. He has also handled claims involving non-compete agreements, trade secrets, and securities fraud allegations.
Mr. Levin has defended manufacturers of both consumer and commercial products, including chemicals, plastics, and automobiles. He represented at trial a manufacturer of railroad switching equipment.
