Rose Acoraci is an associate in the Washington office of Steptoe & Johnson LLP, where she is a member of the Intellectual Property group. Ms. Acoraci’s practice focuses primarily on patent litigation and patent prosecution.
Ms. Acoraci’s litigation experience involves a diverse array of technologies, including semiconductor devices, computer software and hardware, electromechanical devices, medical devices, communications devices, data processing devices and business methods. Ms. Acoraci has assisted in the litigation of patent infringement actions in federal district court as well as actions arising under Section 337 of the Tariff Act of 1930 before the US International Trade Commission.
Ms. Acoraci has also drafted and prosecuted numerous patent applications relating to various technologies, including wireless network communications, computer software and hardware, electromechanical devices, and business methods. Additionally, she has drafted patentability opinions relating to various types of electrical devices and systems and business methods.
Prior to attending law school, Ms. Acoraci worked as a consultant in the Healthcare Solutions Group at CGI Technologies and Solutions Inc. Ms. Acoraci led project work, served as a subject matter expert and business analyst for implementations of electronic health record systems. Ms. Acoraci performed system integrations and system performance analysis of image and document management servers and integration servers, as well as change management services and requirements gathering.
