Xianxiang (Edward) Lin, a legal consultant in Steptoe’s Beijing office, focuses on regulatory compliance, international trade remedies, intellectual property, insurance, and labor and employment.
Mr. Lin assists clients with the regulatory aspects of their investments in China, including anti-bribery, anti-competition, and control of data flow. Most recently, he assisted a multinational company with an open-source anti-corruption due diligence review involving more than one hundred distributors in mainland China.
Mr. Lin supports Steptoe lawyers with US antidumping and countervailing duty proceedings before the US International Trade Commission (ITC) and the US Department of Commerce. He also has experience of antidumping and countervailing investigations initiated by the Ministry of Commerce of the People’s Republic of China (PRC).
Mr. Lin also handles various matters relating to intellectual property. Prior to joining Steptoe, he worked as a legal consultant with one of China’s largest intellectual property consulting firms, where he assisted various US companies in carrying out administrative and judicial actions relating to trademark and copyright infringement and unfair competition.
Mr. Lin also assists clients with insurance regulatory and labor and employment matters.
