Overview
Jeremy Goldkind is an experienced litigator who represents national and international clients in commercial disputes and product liability matters of every size. He litigates in state and federal courts throughout the United States in cases involving a breadth of claims and legal issues, such as data breach and contract disputes, and coordinates national product liability, environmental, and mass tort litigation in the areas of carbon and petroleum-based products, wood-treating preservatives, heavy manufacturing, and the food and beverage industry. Jeremy's clients benefit from his scope of experience, personalized client service, and ability to see and convey the bigger picture for his clients’ business interests.
In addition to his longtime work in the fields of product liability and toxic torts, Jeremy has had equal success in commercial litigation matters in industries such as healthcare, advertising, marketing, and technology. Jeremy was recently part of the litigation team that successfully handled a significant data privacy class action lawsuit on behalf of a leading international toy manufacturer, relating to a highly publicized electronic breach by an international hacker.

First-chaired seven-day jury trial in commercial case involving breach of contract, consumer fraud, and violations of the Illinois Home Repair and Remodeling Act.

Second-chaired two-week personal injury jury trial involving claims of negligence.

Represented (as part of a trial team) US citizens whose son was murdered by a terrorist organization in a three-week trial. The high-profile terrorism recovery case, Boim v. Holy Land Foundation, resulted in a $156 million verdict and a successful en banc appeal.

Defended a large manufacturing company in a products liability action resulting in severe injuries based on the misuse of an automated storage retrieval system.

Prevailed on summary judgment and Seventh Circuit appeal for a Fortune 500 company in a breach of contract and fraud action involving a contract for international print services.

Resolved a multimillion-dollar lawsuit involving Fortune 500 marketing and hospitality vendors regarding alleged trade secret misappropriation of data management and card fulfillment technology.

Settled a contract dispute between a Fortune 500 digital media marketing/advertising client and a telecommunications service provider.

Defended breach of contract action against client physician, prevailing on summary judgment based on violations of the Illinois Medical Practice Act.

Managed a $6 million complex financial fraud investigation and concurrent lawsuit.

Defended large health care provider in two employment discrimination actions.

Mediated provider reimbursement action on behalf of outpatient surgical facility against the nation’s fourth largest health insurance company for failure to pay nearly $1 million dollars in claims.
