Patrick P. Tofilon is an attorney in Steptoe's Washington office, where he is a member of the Litigation Department. Mr. Tofilon has extensive experience advising clients and firm practice groups on a range of eDiscovery issues, including the identification, preservation, collection, review, and production of documents in connection with litigation in federal and state courts, cross-border transactions, internal investigations, and regulatory and enforcement matters.
Mr. Tofilon regularly counsels clients on eDiscovery strategies, developing discovery plans, complying with best practices, implementing and leveraging discovery analytics and technology, managing the discovery process, and defending and resolving issues that arise during the course of discovery.
He also serves as the managing associate for Steptoe’s Complex Litigation and Discovery Center, an office that has handled more than 200 large-scale litigation and document discovery matters for firm clients over the past 10 years. In this role, Mr. Tofilon manages a team of firm attorneys and document review teams responsible for handling client discovery matters of varying size and levels of complexity including litigation, antitrust compliance, transactional due diligence, internal investigations, and government-issued subpoenas and investigative demands.
