The Proposed Austrian Ban on GMOs - is It Legal Under European Community Law?

Brussels lawyers Darren Abrahams and Craig Simpson's advice on the legality of proposed revisions to the EU regime on Genetically Modified Food & Feed has been extensively quoted in the French publication, Agriculture et Environnement. The proposal, by Austria, to introduce socio-economic analysis into the GM Food and Feed Regulation ("FFR") will be discussed by the EU Council of Ministers on Wednesday 25 June.
