REACH Authorization Process

Nancy Russotto and Laura Atlee’s article, "REACH Authorization Process,” is part three in a four-part series on compliance with the European Union’s REACH regulations. The first article in the series, "REACH Compliance Explained," discussed registration; the second article looked at the identification of substances of very high concern (SVHCs) and authorization. This third article examines how companies will need to manage authorizations for and restrictions on substances. The final article will cover current issues in Substance Information Exchange Forums (SIEFs) and consortia of particular relevance to the plastics industry.
