Ayushi Sharma focuses on anti-corruption investigations and compliance with the UK Bribery Act, related transnational anti-bribery regimes, economic sanctions, and anti-money laundering legislation. Ayushi has experience advising companies on several multijurisdictional investigations and compliance matters across Europe, Asia, Africa and the Middle East in a wide range of industries, including financial services, construction, manufacturing, oil and gas, consumer goods and telecommunications. She has also advised individuals facing criminal and regulatory enforcement action by UK, US, and other international authorities.
Ayushi assists clients with the design, implementation and evaluation of effective global compliance programs, including training, risk assessments and third party due diligence.
Prior to joining Steptoe, Ayushi was an associate at a leading US law firm in London. Her practice focused on advising clients on a broad range of contentious and regulatory matters, including anti-corruption investigations and compliance, EU sanctions, cross-border data protection and privacy (including the General Data Protection Regulation, GDPR), and high-value and complex commercial litigation and arbitration.
