Daniel Barrio Barrio advises clients on all aspects of European competition law: merger control, cartel investigations, private antitrust litigation, distribution agreements, antitrust compliance and State aid. His practice has a particular focus on antitrust developments in the digital economy. Daniel has experience across a variety of other industries. He has participated in international merger reviews of major transactions in the food and drink, medical and energy sectors. He has also advised clients in cross-border cartel investigations in the shipping sector.
Prior to joining Steptoe, Daniel practiced in two international law firms in Brussels and worked as a trainee in the Directorate General for Competition of the European Commission.
