Zorba Leslie assists clients in a wide variety of complex commercial challenges and criminal investigations, helping navigate potential disputes and litigating active matters. Zorba has experience at all stages of pre-trial litigation, including drafting complaints and dispositive motions, managing discovery practice, preparing witnesses for testimony, and taking depositions.
Zorba is an active participant in Steptoe's pro bono initiatives, focusing on civil rights and gender-based violence in family and immigration law. He tried custody and child support cases while on secondment with the Legal Aid Society of DC. Zorba is a co-chair of the Generous Associates Campaign for Legal Aid, for which efforts he was co-recipient of the 2018 Young Lawyer of the Year Award from the Bar Association of the District of Columbia.
Prior to becoming an attorney, Zorba managed anti-slavery programs in eastern Democratic Republic of Congo and Haiti for an international human rights advocacy organization. He is a recipient of the Thomas J. Watson Fellowship and a NSEP David L. Boren Scholarship.
