Overview
(June 29, 2021, Washington, DC) — Global Investigations Review (GIR) has named Steptoe partner Lucinda Low to its inaugural list of the Top FCPA Practitioners. The list, published June 15, is a guide to the “leading lawyers and forensic advisers in the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act space,” based on market research by GIR's journalists.
To create the list, reporters and editors interviewed dozens of practice heads, in-house lawyers and former government officials who’ve worked on foreign bribery matters. They also considered the FCPA cases practitioners have handled, including US foreign bribery settlements, declinations and monitorships.
Low, who heads Steptoe's FCPA/anti-corruption practice, has been advising clients on the FCPA and anti-corruption for more than two decades, and is a recognized authority in the area. Her work is worldwide, but she has special experience in Latin America, having lived and worked in Brazil, and leads Steptoe's Brazil-specific initiative, which includes a focus on FCPA/anti-corruption compliance and enforcement work.
This is not the first time GIR has recognized Low for her work. In 2015, she was named to the publication’s inaugural list of “Women in Investigations: One Hundred Investigation Specialists from Around the World,” and in 2017, GIR presented her with the “Outstanding Career Award.”
