Overview
(July 1, 2019, Washington, DC) — Steptoe partner Patty Palacios has been selected to serve on the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity's (LCLD) 2019-2020 Fellows Alumni Executive Council. She has served on the council for the past three years.
Palacios is an active steward to Steptoe's commitment to diversity. She serves as co-chair of the hiring committee and is a member of the diversity and inclusion committee. In 2012, Steptoe nominated Palacios to be its very first fellow for the LCLD. Founded in 2009, LCLD is an organization of more than 300 corporate chief legal officers and managing partners committed to creating a truly diverse legal profession. Palacios has held various positions on LCLD's Alumni Executive Council and acted twice as chair of LCLD's Leadership Symposium. Palacios has participated on several panels concerning diversity in the legal practice and works with clients to organize events promoting diversity within the firm and the broader legal community.
