(November 1, 2021, Washington, DC) – Steptoe associate Rebecca Robinson has been selected as one of three fellows in the American Bar Association’s 2021-2022 Law Practice Division (LP) Fellowship Program.
The two-year program provides participants with the opportunity to make lasting connections with industry thought leaders in the business of practicing law. LP will actively engage Fellows in leadership meetings, appoint Fellows to LP Boards and Committees, and encourage them to actively engage in key LP initiatives. Through their participation, Fellows will receive the mentorship, experience and guidance needed to prepare them for positions of leadership with LP and the ABA.
Robinson has stepped into several leadership roles at Steptoe. During the pandemic, she independently organized and maintained bi-weekly meetings for law clerks/first-year associates and initiated remote-work sessions with the broader Associates' Committee. More recently, Robinson has reached out to incoming summer associates to facilitate their integration in the upcoming virtual summer program. She also acted as a driving force behind a complex business development project involving comprehensive research, content production, and collaboration with several other members of the firm.
A member of Steptoe's Commercial Litigation group, Robinson’s practice includes a wide range of complex commercial disputes involving contracts, copyright, false advertising, unfair competition, data privacy, and consumer class actions brought under consumer protection statutes. Throughout her time at the firm, she has counseled clients to identify and strategize how to address their legal and business needs, especially related to e-commerce, supply chain, and evolving trends in the fashion, retail, and art industry.
Since 1974, LP has supplied lawyers and legal professionals with cutting-edge information and resources related to the core areas of marketing, management, technology, and finance.
