April 9, 2014

Steptoe of counsel Jennifer Bonneville has received a “Volunteer of the Year Award” from the County of Los Angeles for her work with the Los Angeles County Bar Association’s (LACBA) Domestic Violence Project.  Ms. Bonneville was presented with the award during a luncheon held April 7 in the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion of the Music Center in Los Angeles.  The county’s volunteer recognition event is held in conjunction with National Volunteer Week.

Ms. Bonneville has been volunteering for the LACBA Domestic Violence Project since 2009 at both the downtown Los Angeles and Pasadena courthouses.  She serves as a voice for individuals who have suffered domestic abuse and assists them through the legal process of obtaining temporary restraining orders.  She is also a sounding board to individuals who have suffered and need someone to tell their stories to.

At Steptoe, Ms. Bonneville is a member of the Litigation Department, where she focuses on toxic tort, mass tort, products liability and mass tort litigation.  Her practice focuses on the defense of chemical and energy company product suppliers in personal injury, property damage and medical monitoring across the country.  Ms. Bonneville has consistently been recognized by Southern California Super Lawyers as a “Rising Star” since 2010.

She received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Western Ontario where she was an Ivey Scholar, and her J.D. from the University of Toronto where she received the Ogilvy Renault Award for Academic Achievement.
