Overview
Steptoe’s success for Honeywell Technology Solutions, Inc. in a bid protest challenge before the Government Accountability Office (GAO) was covered by Law360 in a July 5 article titled “GAO Again Rejects Protest Over $28M Navy Engineering Deal.” The GAO decision, released publicly on July 1, rejected Trandes Corp.’s challenge to a $27.7 million US Navy Engineering services contract awarded to a Honeywell unit. Although Trandes had argued that the Navy’s cost evaluation was flawed because it was based on old pricing data instead of more recent information, GAO found that the Navy's cost assessment was reasonable and based on all data available to it.
