Overview
The American Lawyer featured Lucinda Low in an article titled “Big Law Rainmakers Spill Their Secrets.” The article, published in the April 2017 issue of the magazine, asks 12 big law rainmakers “what is the secret to developing great client relationships?”
Ms. Low, head of the firm's Compliance, Investigations, Trade and Enforcement Department, says: “I was fortunate to attract clients relatively early in my career, when I was still an associate. Those early successes taught me I could attract and retain business. If you are lucky you will find opportunities to bond with clients. It does not work with everyone, and you need to accept that and move on where it does not. This is a relationship business. You have to be good, but you also have to generate trust and confidence in clients that you can solve their problems. Don't always look to maximize revenues, but look for opportunities to build the relationship.”
