Overview
The National Law Journal has named Steptoe partners Kendall Enyard and Brittany Prelogar to its 2017 DC Rising Stars list. The list features 40 lawyers under the age of 40 who work in the District of Columbia, which the editors describe as a “magnet for top graduates from the top law schools in some of the most sophisticated practices in the nation.” Steptoe is one of five firms that scored two slots on the list.
In a special report published in the September 2017 issue of the magazine, each honoree describes their biggest win or accomplishment in practice. Mr. Enyard, who practices in the firm’s Litigation and Government Contracts practices and serves as a hiring partner at the firm, states: “As a hiring partner, I am charged with the important mission of identifying the next Steptoe lawyers. Our recruiting efforts have brought incredibly talented attorneys — especially women and minorities — to the firm. It's extremely rewarding to witness this commitment to diversity.”
Ms. Prelogar, who co-chairs the firm’s International Regulation & Compliance Group, states: “Leading a team of more than 40 attorneys, accountants and foreign counsel in a complex accounting fraud investigation. We had to meet tight, foreign-stock-exchange-imposed deadlines without sacrificing the thoroughness needed for the client to restate its financials and satisfy its auditors.”
Full profiles of Mr. Enyard and Ms. Prelogar both can be read in The National Law Journal (subscription required).
