Waste360 Quotes Kami Galvani on Green Business Program in Phoenix

August 28, 2017

Waste360 quoted Kami Galvani throughout an August 28 article titled “Phoenix Hopes New Program Will Buoy Waste Diversion at Businesses.” The article discusses the city of Phoenix’s new Green Business Leader Program, which aims to encourage businesses to establish recycling and waste diversion programs. Thirty businesses are now certified Green Business Leaders, including Steptoe’s Phoenix office.

Ms. Galvani, chair of Steptoe Phoenix office’s community service committee, says she knew replacing plates and cutlery in the kitchen with paper and reusable plates and cutlery in the kitchens along with its single-stream recycling program would likely qualify them for the city’s program.

Additionally, the office offers a collective donation program and a composting program. Ms. Galvani adds that everyone seems to be on board. “Most of them are very, very excited about it.”
