The IP Network Series is a monthly meeting for intellectual property professionals and those who wish to learn more about IP protection and monetization, including entrepreneurs, scientists, engineers, and investors. Each meeting will include a fireside chat and fun activity aimed at lawyers and non-lawyers alike. Participation is free of charge.

Join us for the last event in our 2015 series, "The Importance of Design Patents." The discussion will include a focus on design patents which are an important avenue of intellectual property protection in a wide range of industries. Design patents protect shape, surface ornamentation, or a combination of both in a wide variety of industries, from fashion articles, to consumer products, as well as software graphic user interfaces. We will also discuss procurement and assertion of design patents. A wine and cheese tasting will follow.
