Brigid Kelly advises clients on a wide range of federal income taxation issues with a particular focus on international tax.  She has experience working on tax legislative, transactional, and controversy matters and has represented both domestic and foreign clients.  Ms. Kelly also participates in Steptoe's pro bono program, and has most recently assisted in the representation of a wrongly-convicted prisoner.

During law school, Ms. Kelly participated in the International Human Rights & Development Clinic at the University of Cape Town, which is developing statutes to provide property rights to women in South Africa.  Ms. Kelly was also a member of Stanford’s Social Security Disability Project, where she obtained social security disability benefits for pro bono clients.  Prior to graduating from law school, Ms. Kelly worked as a law clerk in the Tax Division of the US Attorney’s Office in the Northern District of California, and as a summer associate at Steptoe.

Before entering law school, Ms. Kelly worked at an art gallery specializing in antique maps and paintings in New York City.
