Dan Raymond is a commercial litigator with experience handling a wide variety of business disputes. In addition to commercial and contract matters, he counsels clients on toxic tort and product liability claims, mass torts and class actions, and employment matters. He has experience in both federal and state courts, and all aspects of litigation, including motion practice, fact and expert discovery, investigations, depositions, trials, and appeals.

Representative Matters

  • Defending VTech Corporation in class action litigation arising from the hacking of information created to use the online aspects of tablets and other electronic devices.
  • Defending KeyBank Real Estate Capital in litigation over servicing of a $3.9 billion pool of loans arising from the default of the mortgage on the Bryant Park Hotel.
  • Representing past and present owners of chemical treatment facility in a class action pending in the Northern District of Florida where plaintiffs have alleged diminished use and enjoyment of properties surrounding facility due to air emissions and groundwater contamination.
  • Defending manufacturers of chemically treated wood against negligence, product liability, and intentional tort claims.
  • Represented the largest US commercial roofing contractor in employment and trade secret litigation.
  • Assisted in the defense of a major motion picture production company in an action by a fund that invested in a film production slate.
  • Assisted in representing a corporation in defense of a putative class action brought under the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA).
  • Defended state and federal discrimination claims at the agency level.
