Overview
Today, the House voted 227-205 to pass the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act (H.R. 1), with 13 Republicans joining Democrats in voting against the bill. Chairman Brady (R-TX) said in a statement that the House intends to work together with Senate to pass a tax reform bill through both chambers by the end of the year.
Joint Committee Releases Analysis of Chairman’s Modification
The Joint Committee on Taxation released an analysis of the distribution effects of the Senate Finance Committee Chairman’s modification to the Chairman’s mark of the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act.
