Overview
On June 17, 2015, the EU Committee of Permanent Representatives agreed to extend sanctions against Russia for six months. The EU Foreign Affairs Council is expected to ratify this decision at a meeting on June 22, 2015. The sanctions were due to expire on July 31, 2015 before the renewal decision.
EU sanctions against Russia restrict certain financial transactions with certain listed Russian banks, energy companies, and defense companies, and further restrict the export of certain energy exploration equipment and dual-use items.
We will continue to monitor developments related to economic sanctions against Russia.
