House Judiciary Committee Approves Bill Protecting Taxpayer Access to the Courts: Today the House Judiciary Committee approved by voice vote a bipartisan bill (H.R. 3996) that allows judges to transfer taxpayers’ lawsuits against the government to the correct court when they are initially filed in the incorrect court by mistake. The bill was introduced by Courts, Intellectual Property, and the Internet Subcommittee Chairman Darrell Issa (R-CA) and ranking member Jerrold Nadler (D-NY).
