Daily Tax Update - September 11, 2013: House Delays Vote on Government Funding Bill

House Delays Vote on Government Funding Bill:  The House delayed until next week a vote on a bill to avert a government shutdown.  Unless a new funding bill is passed, the government will shut down on October 1.  The current House bill would keep spending levels at the $986 billion per year level set by the automatic spending cuts known as the sequester and would fund the government until mid-December.  The bill also contains a provision to defund the Affordable Care Act.
