Overview
Event Details
While the number of enforcement actions in 2021 was significantly lower than in prior years, the Biden administration has signaled that US Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) and anti-corruption will be enforcement priorities and are intertwined with the administration's focus on areas it considers central to national security and the rule of law. There were a number of significant policy announcements as well as legislative developments relevant to FCPA. Moreover, the 2021 docket contained several high-profile corporate and individual enforcement matters, including in some cases coordinated resolutions with foreign authorities, shedding light on the issues and conduct that have triggered government scrutiny and penalties.
Join Steptoe's FCPA/Anti-Corruption practice on Wednesday, February 16, for a complimentary webinar discussing the biggest FCPA and anti-corruption developments in 2021 and key compliance lessons learned.
