Overview
Customs enforcement increasingly affect the business of Chinese companies exporting to the EU, both in terms of duty claims (in particular anti-dumping duties) and of non-tariff regulatory compliance challenges. It becomes imperative for Chinese businesses to understand the EU customs rules and procedures as well as how they are implemented by different enforcement bodies at EU and national levels. Yongqing Bao navigated through the EU customs law and enforcement at a webinar co-held with CCCME in November 2018, providing an in-depth overview over topics such as circumvention and fraud, E-commerce, regulatory compliance and post-investigation enforcement procedures. He also presented live cases concerning products like solar panels, textiles and electric bicycles.
