Overview
(August 15, 2018, Washington, DC) — Steptoe has received 90 individual mentions in the 2019 edition of The Best Lawyers in America©. Best Lawyers is based on a peer-review survey in which nearly 87,000 lawyers globally are eligible to vote on the legal abilities of other lawyers based on their specific practice areas around the world. For the 2019 edition of the US guide, some 7.8 million votes were cast.
In addition, four Steptoe partners have been named "Lawyer of the Year" in the 2019 edition. Only a single lawyer in each practice area and designated metropolitan area is recognized as the "Lawyer of the Year." The lawyers being named as "Lawyers of the Year" have received particularly high ratings in this year's survey by earning a high level of respect among their peers for their abilities, professionalism, and integrity.
