Overview
(March 14, 2018, Chicago) — Steptoe has secured two additional wins for Panduit Corp. against Corning Optical Communications LLC in an inter partes review at the Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB). On February 27, the PTAB found all claims, which related to two fiber optic equipment patents, invalid. The decision follows a February 2 decision in which the PTAB found that claims in two fiber optic patents asserted by a Corning unit in infringement litigation are unpatentable.
The Steptoe patent litigation team representing Panduit in these matters is led by partner Kelly Eberspecher, and includes partner Dan Stringfield, both based in Chicago, and associates Katherine Cappaert and David Hecht in the Washington and New York offices, respectively.
