In a Bloomberg Law article titled, "'Tangled Web' of Laws, Regulations Stifles Carbon Capture Push," Steptoe partner Hunter Johnston was quoted on how the 50-year-old National Environmental Policy Act, which empowers environmental groups to challenge environmental assessments in court, remains "the overriding environmental statute" posing an obstacle to wide-scale carbon capture deployment.
