Join us on Thursday, October 9, in Houston for a complimentary seminar intended for chemical industry professionals. The program will highlight important new regulatory initiatives in the United States and European Union and how they may affect US chemical manufacturers. Sessions will focus on the following topics:
- How the US Environmental Protection Agency's "Powering the Great American Comeback" initiative aims to benefit US chemical manufacturers by refocusing the Agency's mission, redirecting its enforcement resources, and strengthening chemical regulatory programs under the Toxic Substances Control Act.
- How the US Food and Drug Administration's evolving oversight efforts may impact US chemical companies, including whether the "Make Our Children Healthy Again" strategy will influence chemical product regulations, how FDA's oversight of generally recognized as safe (GRAS) substances could change, and how FDA is approaching its review of chemicals in products after they have entered the market.
- Whether regulatory "simplification" in the EU may benefit US chemical manufacturers, including the upcoming revision of the EU REACH Regulation, the European Chemicals Industry Action Plan, and evolving sustainability obligations under the EU Deforestation Regulation, the Batteries Regulation, and ecodesign product regulations.
In addition, there will be networking opportunities during a complimentary lunch and cocktail reception.
