Overview
Zain Devshi's experience spans corporate transactional tax planning, complex tax controversy, and advising both nonprofit and corporate clients on a wide range of federal, state, and international tax issues.
He advises corporate clients on the tax aspects of complex transactions and disputes, including drafting and analyzing tax provisions in M&A agreements, preparing tax opinions and memoranda on sophisticated domestic and international tax issues, and supporting high‑value transfer pricing controversies through legal research, document drafting, and deposition preparation.
Before entering private practice, Zain served as a summer intern for Special Trial Judge Eunkyong Choi at the US Tax Court, where he drafted orders, analyzed legal issues, and prepared internal memoranda. He also brings prior experience in assurance services, having managed audits for large nonprofit and real estate clients.
