Overview
Samantha prepares and prosecutes US and foreign patent applications for clients in life sciences industries. She works on a variety of technical areas including biologics, cancer immunotherapy, cellular therapies, infectious disease vaccines, gene editing, and pharmaceutical formulations. She also performs freedom to operate analyses, patentability analyses, and IP due diligence matters.
Samantha holds a Ph.D. degree in immunology and virology. During her graduate career, she investigated phenotypic differences between HIV viral subtypes and risk factors associated with increased risk of HIV infection in Sub-Saharan Africa to identify at-risk populations.
