Bloomberg BNA quoted Steptoe partner Lisa Zarlenga in an article titled “Lobbyists: Not Much Relief Coming From Debt-Equity Revisions.” The article, published September 13, discusses the reactions to proposed rules under tax code Section 385.
Ms. Zarlenga says, “My general sense is that the business community, while they worked diligently to educate members and raise awareness of the problems with the proposed rules, isn’t holding out much hope that Congress will be able to stop the train.”
