Renato Antonini, Eva Monard, and Byron Maniatis have authored an article for Export Compliance Manager titled ''EU restrictions on certain imports from Russia and Belarus''. The April 2022 article discusses the escalation in unprecedented restrictions and sanctions the EU imposed on Russia and Belarus. Following the unlawful acts committed by Russia and Belarus, the EU adopted a fifth sanctions package on Russia in response to the invasion of Ukraine. Such sanction package contained additional import and related restrictions on various products originating or having been exported from Russia.
