Trump Nominates David Kautter for Assistant Secretary of Tax Policy: Today, the White House announced it was nominating David J. Kautter of Virginia to be the Assistant Secretary of Treasury for Tax Policy. Most recently, Mr. Kautter was partner-in-charge of RSM's Washington National Tax practice. Previously, he served as the managing director of the Kogod Tax Center at American University and was Director of National Tax at Ernst & Young.
