Steptoe partner Wendy Wysong is quoted throughout a March 17 article in Insider titled "Merrick Garland's Past as a Career Federal Prosecutor in DC is Coming Full Circle with the Capitol Riot Cases." The article profiles Garland's career at the Department of Justice beginning in the US attorney's office in Washington and culminating as the newly confirmed US attorney general.
Wysong, who worked as a prosecutor with Garland in the early 1990s, says, "I think he's going to go out of his way to listen to the assistant US attorneys and line prosecutors. All of the US attorneys' offices need a boost of morale. He'll be the right person to make people feel like they're respected and appreciated."
