IRS Announces Renewal of Internal Revenue Service Advisory Council: Today, the IRS issued a notice that the charter for the Internal Revenue Service Advisory Council (IRSAC) has been renewed for two years. The purpose of the IRSAC is to provide an organized public forum for discussion of relevant tax administration issues between IRS officials and representatives of the public. Beginning in 2019, the IRSAC will incorporate the Advisory Committee on Tax Exempt and Government Entities and the Information Reporting Program Advisory Committee.
