IRS Delays Estate Filing Deadline: Notice 2016-27 delays the deadline from March 31 to June 30 for executors and other persons required to file or furnish a statement under the new section 6035 reporting requirements with regard to the value of property included in a decedent’s gross estate for federal tax purposes.
IRS Revises Form for Change in Accounting Method: The IRS announced today that it has revised Form 3115, Application for Change in Accounting Method, and its instructions. Taxpayers filing Form 3115 after April 19 must use the revised Form 3115.
