JCT Publishes Report on Estimated Budget Effects of Expanded Religious Conscience Exemption Under the ACA:  Today, the Joint Committee on Taxation (JCT) released a report (JCX-126-15) estimating that the Equitable Access to Care and Health (EACH) Act, which would amend section 5000A to provide an additional religious exemption from the individual health coverage requirement, would cost approximately $1.2 billion between 2016 and 2025. 

EU Commission Releases Report on Tax Reforms in EU Member States:  Today, the European Commission published its annual report on recent tax reforms in the EU member states.  The report, prepared by the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Economic and Financial Affairs and Directorate-General for Taxation and Customs Union, describes and analyzes tax policy reforms implemented in the EU between mid-2014 and mid-2015 and examines a number of challenges relating to tax policy that may impact macroeconomic performance.
