(April 29, 2024, Washington, DC) – The members of the Energy Bar Association (EBA) elected Steptoe associate Karen Bruni as a director to the EBA Board of Directors. The election took place at EBA's Annual Meeting, held in Washington DC on April 25-26, 2024. The event was attended by approximately 500 energy law and policy professionals.
EBA is an international, non-profit association of attorneys, non-attorney professionals, and students active in all areas of energy law. The organization promotes the professional excellence and ethical integrity of its members in the practice, administration, and development of energy laws, regulations and policies. Bruni focuses her energy practice on the regulation of electric and natural gas utilities by the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC). She has successfully worked on complex regulatory, enforcement, and compliance matters related to transmission and interconnection issues, tariff compliance, utility mergers and asset acquisitions, cost-of-service, rate design, and cost allocation. Additionally, Bruni has counseled electric utilities before federal courts in litigations related to enforcement and antitrust matters.
