(December 15, 2022, Washington, DC) – Lawyers of Color has named James Purce and Judy Wang to their Hot List 2022. Lawyers of Color is a nonprofit devoted to promoting diversity in the legal profession and advancing democracy and equality in marginalized communities. In addition to producing events, conferences, and publications including Power Issue, Caucus Issue, Hot List, and Legal Diversity Issue, they collaborate with media organizations to publish reports and studies like Why Black Lawyers Matter.
Purce represents individuals and companies in criminal investigations and prosecutions, and internal investigations and compliance. He has experience defending clients against investigation and enforcement actions by the Department of Justice and other agencies, including matters related to fraud, money laundering, and obstruction. James also has experience in fact development, witness preparation, and trial preparation.
Wang focuses her practice on international trade and investment as well as international regulation and compliance. She represents companies across various industries on all aspects of antidumping and countervailing duty proceedings before the US Department of Commerce, the US International Trade Commission, and US courts. Wang also counsels clients on trade issues arising out of bilateral and multilateral relationships with various US trading partners to the General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade and the World Trade Organization, and customs matters with US Customs and Border Protection.
