Overview
(November 12, 2018, Washington, DC) — The Leadership Council on Legal Diversity (LCLD) has named Steptoe a Top Performer for 2018. Steptoe was recognized at LCLD's ninth annual membership meeting on October 16, which honored all members for their commitment to improving diversity in the legal profession.
According to LCLD, 62 LCLD member organizations earned the distinction of "Top Performer" for their participation in and support of LCLD's mission. This designation recognizes those organizations that are most active in LCLD over the course of the year. Organizations receive points for a variety of LCLD-related activities, including participating in any of LCLD's programs, sending fellows to learning experiences and leadership lunches, or hosting regional networking events.
This year, almost all top performing organizations nominated a fellow and participated in LCLD's Success in Law School Mentoring Program; all organization's received points for active fellows and fellows alumni. Individual LCLD members also proved their commitment to LCLD's mission by speaking at LCLD events, engaging with fellows, and recruiting new LCLD Members.
