(February 4, 2025, New York) — Steptoe LLP has expanded its International Trade and Regulatory Compliance practice with the addition of litigator Jason Wright. Jason, previously chair of Curtis, Mallet-Prevost, Colt & Mosle's National Security Law and Economic Sanctions practice groups, joins Steptoe as a partner in New York.
A Bronze-star decorated combat veteran, former US Army Judge Advocate, and now Reserve Judge Advocate, Jason draws on his military career and close work with US law enforcement and national security agencies to navigate complex national security and international sanctions issues. His practice includes economic sanctions, national security law, direct foreign investment, cross-border transactions, and regulatory compliance advice, as well as litigation of white-collar defense, whistleblower, international human rights, national security, and US and transnational commercial matters. His clients are multinational corporations, government officials, sovereign entities, state-owned entities, international governmental institutions, NGOs, and private clients across various industries in the US, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia.

Jason earned his JD cum laude from George Mason University School of Law and M.St. in international human rights law from Oxford University.
