(October 14, 2021, Washington, DC) — Steptoe partners Pantelis Michalopoulos and Simon Tilling have received a Lexology Client Choice Award. Michalopoulos received the award in the Telecoms & Media – United States: District of Columbia category, while Tilling was recognized in the Environment - United Kingdom category.

He was anointed MVP in the space by Law360 for two years in a row (2020 and 2021), and was named to The National Law Journal's inaugural list of Washington DC Trailblazers for 2020. His recent high-profile cases include an appeal on behalf of his client DISH Network from the license the Federal Communications Commission has issued to Elon Musk's satellite constellation SpaceX.
Tilling recently joined Steptoe as a partner in the Chemicals and Life Sciences group to build upon the robust EU chemicals regulatory capabilities based in the firm's Brussels office, and to help expand the group's footprint to the United Kingdom as the UK diverges from the EU regulatory regime post-Brexit. He holds joint honors degrees in chemistry and law and advises clients on UK and EU environmental law, chemicals regulation and product standards.
Tilling has extensive experience covering regulatory compliance and supply chain diligence, investigations, enforcement and criminal defense, regulatory appeals, tribunal hearings, and environmental civil claims. He previously received top-tier rankings in the 2022 edition of The Legal 500 UK and the 2021 Chambers UK, where clients described him as "extremely talented," "commercially sound and pragmatic" and "very effective at resolving cases."
